Date Night (Extended Cut)

A modern screwball comedy
This is in the tradition of the screwball comedies of the 30's and 40's, briefly reborn in movies like "What's Up Doc." The chase scene is actually one of its weaker elements, except for the part where the two cars get locked together, which is hysterical. Yes, the ending is a little pat, but some good points are made. And who cares, if you're laughing along the way? Tina Fey and Steve Carell are in top form; they can do more with facial expressions and tone of voice that most comic actors can do with the whole screen. Of the cameos, the one with the "real" Tripplehorns (James Franco and his wife?) is the real delight. I can't see why anyone wouldn't enjoy it, but I would say this is most likely to appeal to actual married couples--maybe not so much to the younger set, the kids. To those who think the "bored couple" part wasn't funny: you've either never been part of a bored couple (congratulations!) or you're part of one now and can't see the humor in it (sorry).

A charming, big-hearted comedy
I saw this in the theater twice with different friends and then watched it again last night with my husband. Even on the third viewing, I was laughing out loud. Now admittedly I enjoy almost all comedies (even dumb ones) and I'm a huge fan of both Tina Fey and Steve Carell. If you don't like Frey in 30 Rock or Baby Mama or Carell in 40 Year Old Virgin or Little Miss Sunshine, of course you're not going to enjoy this movie; the actors aren't breaking any new ground here.

I found Date Night not only funny but charming, one of the most enjoyable comedies I've seen recently. While the couple fights at times, ultimately they are genuinely kind and enjoy each other. The humor isn't mean-spirited and snarky, like, for example, Get Him to the Greek or Grown Ups. (I loved Get Him to the Greek, btw, and hated Grown Ups, which was too dumb even for me.) Date Night manages to be warm-hearted but not sentimental or cloying. It's refreshing.

In order for a movie packed full of unlikely plot-developments and general silliness like DATE NIGHT, a cast that's easy to love who have razor sharp comic timing and mastery of their tone is needed. Fortunately, Steve Carrell and Tina Fey meet all three requirements, and thus, DATE NIGHT works on many levels.

Carrell and Fey play a nearly middle aged married couple with kids. They have a comfortable suburban life, and are still fond of each other, but they are also clearly just a bit worn out by life. "Date Nights" for them consist of going to a local steak restaurant, with worn-out décor and no sense of romance whatsoever. And in time-honored, clichéd tradition, they wonder if they are still in-love with the other...because they see their closest friends getting divorced. Straight Right

Unbelievable movie - I was stunned!
This movie floored me. It's not often that a movie affects me like this one did. As a matter of fact, the last movie that had this kind of affect on me, even though it is very different, was The Crow.

At the end of that one, I just layed my head down on my girlfriend's lap and cried - and couldn't stop. I think maybe it was because of what happened to Brandon Lee, but it was actually kind of embarassing, I just couldn't stop.

With this movie, it was just the absolute pain that the protagonist was in, all from not being able to get over the traumatization of what happened to him when he was a child. He starts trying to keep the same thing that happened to him from happening to other kids, but with disastrous results.

I was just rapt the entire movie, watching it unfold, wondering where it would go. And where it did end up going was tragic, but it was also compelling and beautiful. And while I didn't lay in my (now wife's) lap and cry the way I did...

best B noir in a long time. would have been good in black & white. if u like noir and don't mind taking a trip down the rabbit hole pay the toll and take the ride.

if you ever seen a child abused and wanted to teach the person who abuses children a lesson in pain. this movie is for you I hope it inspires people to take the law in their on hands and teach child abusers and wife beaters a lesson the wont forget. buy this film itll make you feel good

Devils of Darkness - 1965

Not bad
Decent 19 60s movie but not my thing however 5 stars for the actors costumes and atmosphere were really well done

I love the old vampire movies I dont really like the new ones,because they take away the horror and realness of the film, just fighting and killing not real suspense which the old ones have. This one is quite good much to my surprise, it was enjoyable and the actors were good also.

Gabe: The Cupid Dog

truly Fun and entertaining
What a cute movie.... it is one of those would watch again... fun, cute, good acting, good plot and perfect family fun. I wish we could watch this type of movies on reg TV... I m so glad for Amazon Prime instant Video.

Cute Movie!
My 6 and 8 year old grandsons liked it and I thought it was cute. I'm always looking for something appropriate for them to watch - they'd much rather watch things exploding or people and monsters fighting. I'm happy when we find something fun that the whole family enjoys without violence.

Begging Naked

A woman I can't forget
I grew up and lived half my life in NYC. I knew many people that lived in the fringes. Still, when I first saw Begging Naked a few years ago I was a bit shocked and quite moved by this view of a very real life of a fellow New Yorker. This is a film about a friendship and about a stoic woman who deals with her life on her own terms in spite of substantial psychiatric baggage. It was good news indeed when I heard that I can buy and own this film at a reasonable price so that I can watch it again and share it with the friends that have heard me carry on about it these last few years.

I first saw this film at a film festival in the Berkshires a few years ago. It was the best film I saw at that festival that week. Now, after hundreds of films seen since, Begging Naked is the one that my mind won't let go of.

Burrows into your soul
Once you see this documentary, you will not forget it. It has haunted me. It's an uncompromising, heartbreaking look at how a promising, artistically gifted young woman was pulled down into mental instability and homelessness, and how there was no safety net for her. She's someone many of us New Yorkers have probably walked right by on the street or in Central Park--too often averting our eyes. If you see this film, it will change your perception of homelessness forever.

A MUST SEE FILM!!!
This film is a must see for anyone who is curious about how hard life in the city really is..Especially for an artistic woman with no family support, and mental challenges..Ever since I've seen this film I've been haunted by Elise, the main character, her precious personality and the pain that has been her life will not leave my mind..In fact I'm going to Central Park to find her to offer my help..Karen Gehres is an incredible director, she handled Elise's story w/dignity, honesty and an intimacy that makes this film riveting.. I cannot recommend this enough, definitely one of the BEST documentaries I've seen in a LONG time!!! Two thumbs up!!!

Bad Taste (1988)

A Great and Disgusting Time! (4.5 stars)
Peter Jackson's directorial debut, "Bad Taste," is a hilariously good time involving a whole lot of blood, guts, brains, the chugging of vomit and tons of laughs. Done in the true slapstick-horror fashion, this is a disgusting and pleasantly demented flick that refuses to take itself seriously. It's over-the-top in every way, and that's what makes it so fun to watch. It's not recommended for people with weak stomachs, but people looking for carnage and laughs will feel right at home with this.

It doesn't have the most scientific or complex plot, but why should it? It involves aliens from another planet that are disguised as humans--acting more like zombies, but they move a lot faster and are handy with automatic weapons. The aliens are here for one thing only... hamburger meat--made from humans! They have already completely massacred an entire town and plan to do the same to the rest of the world! Now, it's up to a couple of goofball assassins to save humanity and...

Be warned--this isn't a 2-disc special edition...it's a cheap release
enough people have reviewed the merits of the movie, I just want to let people know, this particular listing (ASIN: B00004Z1GI ), as of the date of this review, is described by amazon as the 2-disc special edition. It's not. It's a cheapo single disc release by an obscure company, and it pretty much looks like it was transferred from a VHS tape in full screen. Definitely not worth the listed price of 17.99.

Perhaps the Definitive Cult Classic
Absolutely crazy horror comedy and Peter Jackson's (who is now busy making 'Lord of the Rings')debut movie. Gore and blood abound as 'The Boys' are called in to get rid of an alien menace killing townspeople to use them as the latest fast-food taste sensation on another planet.

The New Women

Zany Guilty Pleasure
Complete and utter camp, The New Women is a must see for anyone into cult B-movies. Full of hilariously bad lines, weird sci-fi twists and kooky characters, it wears its love of John Waters and Russ Meyer on its sleeve. It stars Mary Woronov ("Eating Raoul") as Lisa LaStrada whose husband is cheating on her with the town slut. At her sister's BBQ, she starts boozing it up for the first time in 3 years and spirals down into a despair the likes of which only Devine has ever surpassed.

On her way home from the party, a weird rainstorm hits. It causes the entire world to go into a sleep from which only the women awake days later. What will Lisa do? Why, take her cheatin' husbands' job as town sheriff and unsuccessfully attempt to stop the rampant looting and chaos, of course.

And it gets loonier. It eventually turns into a road movie when Lisa, her sister, the town's senior citizen floozy, and the local feminist all jump in an RV and head to Elysium, a new society that was made...

Dali-Lost in Space
This should be reworked with a changed more powerful score. I wouldn't change any of the actors, although I did reach for my abseced tooth once and awhile. I must go back and see Death Race 2000 again. I asked my wife tonight I f I should become an actor, because it doesn't seem like I'm making it at anything else. Hope floats. I loved the coloring of the scientist! Stereotypes are shattered, an alcholic can properly raise two children on her own. Although, I wonder where the realist were: they didn't run out of gas once, even at 3 miles to the gallon, they were present when the desperate housewives were starving, I got really excited to see a realistic Zombie!! Sandra Kinder made it in the movie "worth the price to see it again."

The More Things Change -- A Woodstock Memoir

woodstock spirit in the present day
I have been visiting the Woodstock site since 1989 when we got together for the 20th anniversary. I wrote a screenplay revolving around this site myself, and am trying to get it made now.
I loved the approach of this film! It is really cool to see real people with real beliefs and ideals, talking about their experiences and the reasons they still make the trek to this site at least once a year. It affirmed my belief that the Woodstock spirit is still alive and well!
The way this film was made almost made me feel like I was there! Sitting and talking to the hippies young and old. Hearing the stories of the way they are there to help each other without expecting anything in return reminded me of why I go back there on Woodstock weekend and other times throughout the year.
I also enjoyed the history of the times that's interspersed with the story of the site and it's progress. It's very interesting to be reminded of what was happening in the world while we were...

most of the movie consists of a timeline of events... kennedy assassinated, man lands on the moon, etc.; a bit about the authors experience in attending woodstock... such nuggets as, left early, missed a lot of great music, then interviews with people at lame attempted woodstock reunions. almost impossible to watch

This video is done is such a way that its helps you to understand the times, the people and why Woodstock is still so meaningful to this day!

Happy [HD]

Nice movie about happiness in many societies.
I watched this movie because lately I have been interested in what makes people happy.

I was surprised that the people who made the movie had examples of happy and unhappy people from all over the world. There was this example of happy people that lived in a community in Denmark (I think), where they each had apartments that were part of a cluster, and they took turns cooking, and it was basically like living with a giant family. I had not ever heard of modern people living like that. Those people were very happy. There was also an example of unhappy Japanese people--in Japanese culture, there is a word for people who die of working too much, and that phenomenon is just part of their society. That was kind of sad.

I felt like this movie was more entertaining than informative; I didn't leave the film with a clear idea of what things I could do to become happier, except maybe to spend more time with friends. I did enjoy watching it, though. The wide variety...

This movie made me happy! :)
I really liked this movie. I too saw it with my family (10 year old son, 13 year old daughter and husband) and we all liked it. I think it all comes down to the fact that we're happiest when we're feeling connected to other people and I think there's been enough research over the last decade to support this. It was interesting to note that extreme happiness and sadness are both short lived in that we all pretty much have a happiness set point that we revert back to quite quickly. When I think of all the mindless drivel we could have watched on a Sunday night I have to say that I think this movie was well worth my family's time. It was positive, sweet, informative and heart-warming and made us feel more connected because we watched it together.

Happy video
I heard about this video on Hay House Radio. I decided to rent it while I was convalescing from chronic fatigue. It definitely drives home that happiness is a choice. The rickshaw man who lives in the Indian slum made an impression on me. Whenever I start feeling down, thinking about what I lack and forgetting to be thankful for what I have, I replay the segment about him in my mind. It also helped me to be less judgemental of others who don't conform to the "norm".

Honey [Blu-ray]

Luscious
The plot in this dance and feel good film is beside the point. The music is great, the dancing is even better and at the apex of excellence is Jessica Alba, as luscious a treat of feminine delight as the (male) mind can imagine. I'm 70 years old, but this movie makes me feel 20!

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 (Special Edition) [Blu-ray]

A very tasty story about love and death dancing with wolves, mixing happiness and sadness, despair and hope - and sex and blood!
I just saw "Breaking Dawn" part 1, and I was VERY impressed, even if as a man I am probably not the most typical fan of "Twilight" series. I rather liked all the "Twilight" movies until now and this one is, to my personnal taste, as good as the previous ones - and even in one aspect a little bit better, as Edward and Bella finally become lovers. Below, you will find a short description of what I believe are the best elements of this film, with very limited SPOILERS:

1. Actors. All actors evolved as the serie continued and I believe they all got better with time. Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are both excellent, but - in my humble opinion - it is Kristen Stewart who in this movie shines the most. Quite a lot of people frequently criticized her actorship claiming that she simply can not play at all and has a very limited assortment of expressions in her tool box. But for me, after reading "Twilight" books, this is how the character of Bella should be. I can hardly...

Just A Heads Up
Walmart will be selling this BD: Extended Edition alongside BDp2 in a two movie package combo. So, if you want to own this version plus 8 additional minutes, that might be a cheaper way to go.

Above and Beyond Expectations
Being a huge fan of the books and a pretty big fan of the movies, I was blown away at what a great job they did with this movie installment. I loved the visual and audio parallels they drew between the original movie, Twilight, and this movie. For instance (Spoiler Alerts throughout): I loved how they played Flightless Bird during the wedding ceremony and the way the camera circled them kissing in the same manner the camera circled E & B kissing at Prom at the very end of Twilight. It was a subtle, yet stunning way to visually tie the two movies together and really made more of an emotional impact than if they had just shot them straight on and plugged in a different song. That was genius. And that dress...gorgeous. Just as it was described in the book.

I also loved that rather than having one continuous honeymoon "consummation" scene, they broke it up with Bella thinking about certain moments the next morning after looking in the mirror for the first time, where she's no...

Best of Jayce & The Wheeled Warriors

Better than Transformers?
I don't know if I agree with the mention that this series holds up better than the original Transformers. I'm sure arguments could be made in both directions of that statement. I will say that the animation is fantastic and the writing is miles above the usual drek that escapes from "kiddie" shows. The only annoyance of the show is the bumbling-knight character, filling the role of other classic "funny" characters such as Snarf (Thundercats), Orko (He-Man), and T-Bob (M.A.S.K.)... still very enjoyable though!

epic space series
as a kid, i watched alot of this, even had most of the original 8 volumes that we had in the uk. the whole series is based on starwars characters, by looking, just at the cast you can tell who they are based on. This seris alone is starwars, transformers and inhumanoids all merged together for the perfect space adventure. the artwork on the cover and back is great, and as the cover says you get the best early episodes from the series which is great, because despite it's age and voted 85 of 100 greatest cartoon series in old comic collectable magazine, it has lost none of it's original appeal as a series. The down side is there is no movie to conclude the series, unless you consider the 5 part story in the 2 volume collection as such.

We love Gadget Boy, but this DVD's packaging is not the best. It comes in 3 different sleeves tucked inside the exterior DVD case. That's the only reason this DVD isn't 5 stars for us.

Rockstar 2 Disc Set Bollywood DVD With English Subtitles

Hits the all right notes with a searing solo by Ranbir Kapoor
A bumbling idiot, Janardhan Jakhar ( Ranbir Kapoor) wants to be as famous as his idol the crude, lascivious musician Jim Morrison. Although Jakhar is talented, he somehow lacks the soul that makes great music. The remedy, according to his mentor, for creating great music is heartbreak and pain. His search for pain leads him to the most beautiful girl on his college campus, Heer Kaul (Nargis Fakhri). The dogged pursuit finally leads to a beautiful platonic companionship for both of them, but just before her marriage to a rich guy in Prague, they both realize their true feelings for each other. Heer leaves and Janardhan turns in to Jordan, as christened by Heer, and he ascends stardom, his descent begins.
I thought the film was a long documentary but an interesting one, you sit glued to your seats through the entire marathon. The film is nearly 3 hours long and takes you back and forth, Delhi, to Kashmir and then to Prague as Jordan tries to make sense of fame, life and love. This...

Too good to be true, believe the hype, its amazing!
Ranbir Kapoor delivers a powerhouse performance. The songs are probably some of the best in the recent decade. The story is gorgeously developed and portrayed. The emotions are intense. Probably, the best film to come out of bollywood in a long time. Highly recommended. If you liked this, i would highly recommend another amazing hindi film, 'Ekk Dewanna Tha' 2012. Both are beautiful films. Hope this review helped. :)

The 2011 Hindi film `Rockstar' can be interpreted as a love story woven with Sufi wisdom. I have found no evidence that the director & writer Imtiaz Ali is a Sufi, however in the film he uses verses from the Sufi master Rumi and an ongoing friendship with the Sufi AR Rahman indicates a shared respect and affinity. The Indian Hindi/Urdu poet Irshad Kamil wrote the lyrics to Rahman's compositions and has created unique fresh poetic images suffused in subtle hidden layers of Sufi metaphors.

Bloodwood Cannibals

PLEASE DON'T TAUNT THE CANNIBALS
The movie opens smartly as a documentary of the ecosystem of the Pacific NW, claiming the area is large and diverse enough to support large predators. WE then see a young boy abducted by a cannibal. Sweet!. We know he is a cannibal because it is in the title of the movie. Bloodwood gets it name from the reddish tree bark appearance.

The movie shifts to a film crew shooting scenes of Nigel (British accent) trying to locate Big Foot. In trying to find Big Foot they come across a feral woman who they capture, but not without the guide getting bit. Those who watch zombie movies will be able to appreciate the implication.

Nigel decides to shift gears and hunt for other feral people in the words. The crew enters the forest the same time as does a flower photographer and 2 hunters. At this point the plot is established and it is just a matter of who lives and who dies...and who gets bit.

FILM PHREAK SPEAKS!
I snagged this on a lark while at a store that had deals on their used DVDs. It looked fun enough and wasn't hurting my wallet too much. And it turned out to be so much more than I could ever have hoped for. BLOODWOOD CANNIBALS is a stellar low budget horror film. The filmmakers were obviously influenced by a great deal of prior cinema, and not all within the horror genre. But the repeated pop culture references - minus any annoying wink-wink-nudge-nudge - to various other films are delivered with finesse, as homages. It's loaded with incredible in-jokes in other words. It also does an amazing thing by combining grisly hick horror with not a nihilistic tone but instead a fun tone. this movie BITES!
A film crew finds a feral woman in the woods and captures her. Upon her capture she bites on of the crew members. From there the crew takes her to the hospital. At the hospital, the doctors determine the woman gave birth about 6 months ago but the baby probally died since the woman isn't lactating. Nigel (leader of the film crew) decides to find the father of the feral woman's baby. So the crew gets picked off one by one in the woods along with a couple of hunters and a flower photographer. Just when all hope is lost, one of the members of the film crew decides to use his military training to hunt the cannibal hunters...very LAME.

At one point the military guy swings some speciality knife at one of the cannibals and removes the cannibal's eye. The leader of the cannibals comes along and picks up his friend's eyeball and shoves it back in the socket. Yep, it is LAME!

Big Foot

These ol' 70's Bigfoot films...I tell ya what haha.
So I watched Bigfoot last night and to be honest... at times I was entertained (as in laughing), and then there were times I was totally zoned out from watching lmao!! Those "bigfoots" (yes, more than one), look awful lol!! And sometimes the people on screen look taller (including the captured women), look taller than these pathetic bigfoots lol! Still, i'm glad I bought it... the cover art does rock but sadly the transfer is horrible, well...bad vhs horrible but the movie does mostly take place in the daytime... but sometimes you wish the bigfoots weren't seen so much because of it lol! Also comes in full screen only. It's up to you haha. Makes for a nice conversation piece, plus, the word 'college' is spelled wrong when reading the summary on the back of the dvd lmao!! They spelled it 'collage' lol!

If you're a die-hard fan when it comes to ol' 70's Bigfoot films, than you might enjoy this one BUT this one is scraping the bottom of the barrel of Bigfoot/Sasquatch films...

Best tag-line ever!
"BIGFOOT" ... Breeds with anything. Unfortunately, as it is with most ad campaigns, this film does not live up to the promise of the poster. There are only the slightest hints at BIGFOOT/human lovemaking. For those of us who are fans of the Sexual Sasquatch, this is only a tease. Let's see a picture with horny bigfoot who knows how to close a deal! Also, there are way too many Mitchums in this for my taste.

My wife and I loved it.
I gave it a top rating because my wife and I really loved it. We felt it was defiantly worth the money. If your a Big Foot fan? Than I'm sure you'll love it too.

Beautiful Presentation of the Gospel
A few weeks ago, a friend sent me a link on FaceBook for the trailer of Apostle Peter and the Last Supper (PureFlix). I just finished watching the movie.

Watch Scripture in motion -- very powerful!
The setting of this movie is while Peter is imprisoned as an older man, during the time after Christ's death & resurrection when Christians were being persecuted (67 A.D.), awaiting his imminent death. One of the jailers, curious about this "famous" Christian, risks his neck to ask Peter questions about his experiences with Jesus -- particularly the events surrounding His crucifixion. Peter recounts portions of his time with Jesus, and the viewer gets to see Scripture in motion -- it is very powerful to see and hear Jesus words in context! It is impactful, also, to realize how human Jesus' disciples were... yet still so loved by Jesus.

Would not recommend for young children, as the depiction of Satan could be a bit frightening.

moving rendition of the lives of the apostles
Most movies are about The Christ or Paul or Joseph or Moses. This movie is not only about Jesus, The Christ, but it recounts the personalities of the apostles themselves. It makes the watcher understand that they have the same strengths and weaknesses as the apostles. Doubting Thomas. Peter and his temper. Matthew. James and John, the sons of Zebedee. It is equally about each apostle as much as about the Christ.
The rendition of the Last Supper and what each apostle must have thought when Christ announced that one of them would betray them is extremely moving.
It made all of these people very real and human to me.

Heathcliff: Season 1, Volume 1

Heathcliff and The Catillac Cats. A second try.......
Mill Creek is becoming one my favorite entertainment companies out there. Their products are extremely cheap and they like to get out whole series for us fans. I love the fact that they average ten episodes a disc on most of their efforts. Heathcliff: Season 1, Volume 1 is no exception. Which is really "Heathcliff And The Catillac Cats." A cartoon from the 80's for those who don't know. For $10 bucks you get 32 episodes of the series. With Shout Factory you only got 24 episodes and I paid $35 bucks for that set a few years back. So you get 8 episodes that have not been released here. Ladies and gentlemen these cartoons have not been remastered at all. You can tell from the jump. But they look really good. This is a bargain folks. Don't pass up a good buy here. Mill Creek always gets a bad rap for packaging....etc. So what. At these prices I buy most of their cartoons. Just got "Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego" too. Mill Creek, if you keep cranking them out like...

Awesome, but...
I was quite pleased with the episodes within the DVD box set, however... my fave episode of The Catillac Cats: 'Young Cat With A Horn' is missing a couple of minutes in it, and I am quite annoyed by this. When The Cats go to see the professor, it skips from that point, and past Hector's dream, and right to Him waking from it. I am quite annoyed...

Great set, but suffers a defect
Mill Creek has done good and brought us Heathcliff Season 1 Volume 1. Contains 32 episodes (8 more than the Shout! Factory release but loses the extras and original bumpers so you'll probably want to hang on to that) and a bonus episode of The Get-Along Gang. The transfers are very well by the way. There is however one flaw; On Disc 3, Young Cat With A Horn suffers a defect in which the episode cuts abruptly to another scene in the episode. But there is good news; you can contact Mill Creek regarding this, and they'll send you a replacement disc featuring the corrected version of Young Cat With A Horn (I did and was very happy they did so) albeit on a DVD-R disc. I'm not sure if they plan to do a re-pressing in the future with the corrected version of the episode, but should you buy this and Young Cat With A Horn suffers the defect, contact Mill Creek and they'll send you a replacement as soon as they can. I Ain't Scared of You: A Tribute to Bernie Mac

Very nicely done...
This is a very nice tribute to one of the all-time comic greats. Bernie Mac was very unique with his comedy and he made everyone laugh. The tributes given by Chris Rock, DL Hughley, etc... were very on point and gave you insight into why everyone loved him and still misses him.

One Of The Best
This is a some-what history of The Mac-man. I enjoyed it from beginning to end. For all those not familiar with Bernie Mac's work, you will get an overall overview of the man, comedian, father, and husband he championed to be. Gone too soon.

Great tribute to a great guy!
Biased as I knew Bernie but critical in watching his story told. So glad you mentioned the Regal theater. Spoke to his family and friends. hey spoke 100% real of his personality. No more I could say. We have a huge void in comedy and classic, good, down home, real, Chicago-style (the greats do some from here--Redd Foxx, Richard Pryor's roots, Robin Harris, Cloris Leachment,the Bulushi brothers) comedic natural-ness. The Son of No One [Blu-ray]

NO ONE CARES
Channing Tatum plays Jonathan "Milk" White, a police officer who recently transferred to Queensboro, NY. It is 2002, the aftermath of 9-11 is going on, and acts as a symbol of Jonathan's life. The movie flashes back to 1986 when Jonathan lived in the Queensboro projects with his grandmother. He was harassed by a thug, who he shot and killed. The body was dumped in the garbage, the crime was never solved. A lot of people knew "Milk" did it. The people in the projects hate the cops.

Now in 2002, Jonathan lives with his wife Katie Holmes and a daughter with a medical condition. She is one of those adorable kids that make you want to run out and have a dozen or so. There is a push to clean up the district, making it safe. There is an anonymous person who places articles about TWO unsolved murders from 1986, a reminder to Jonathan. The projects is still an asylum and the cops have better things to do than to dig up a 16 year old case (the movie claims 14 years, but do the...

Pacino is the best part of this movie. Writing, idea, story and overall movie are very disapointing. I say C-
"You can hate me all you want, but your a free man." When rookie officer Jonathan White (Tatum) is assigned to the precinct where he grew up letters start showing up that mention two unsolved murders. When the letters remind White of his past he is stuck between trying to uncover who is sending them and covering up his involvement. I am a huge Pacino fan and that is the reason I wanted to watch this. The trailer looked OK but anything with him I will watch. He was great in this. That about it. The movie was very slow and had a 5 minute idea that they kept repeating over and over until you either struggle through or end up finishing just to see the ending. I will admit that the last ten minutes makes it worth watching, but getting to that part is a real struggle. Any scene without Pacino or Liotta lacks emotion and you have a hard time caring for White at all. Tracy Morgan is actually not bad in a dramatic performance but overall this is one of the biggest disappointments of the year...

Waste of time
Poor use of continual flashbacks. Weak, uninspired or thought-out script for some very good actors. Totally contrived. Good acting wasted. Don't waste your time.

London Boulevard [Blu-ray]

GIVE THIS FILM A CHANCE. YOU WON'T REGRET IT!
To each his own, someone once said. I was mesmerized by this film on many levels. All of the negative comments are surprising to me. Perhaps we didn't see the same film.

Does the film lag in spots. Yes. Is the storyline a little 'Twilight Zone'? Yes. Is this a total waste of great talent? Not on your life! Everyone is perfectly cast and their work is spot-on.

It is, of course, Colin Farrell's movie. He is hard to dislike in any of his roles. There is an innocent sweetness about him in spite of all the 'bad boy' gossip that follows him around the world. He owns this role. Keira Knightley? Who on the screen is more enchanting than she is? No one. She is so vulnerable in this film. She is hauntingly frail, both physically and mentally. As an A List actress hunted down by the Paparazzi day and night, she is so believable. Perfect casting.

Ray Winstone has cornered the market in the UK as the Tony Soprano of England. I never get tired of watching him steal...

some may view this as a typical british gangster movie and if that's a turn off don't bother watching it. don't watch it for the supposed romance between kiera knightley and colin farrel. don't watch it because most people seem to hate it. watch it for the difference in language. nothing is a shock in this movie but it's well paced and provides a transport from reality for a little over an hour. isn't that what movies are for?

Gangster Flick Is A Blast
Brian DePalma was considered a master plagiarist by many. It's with little irony that "London Boulevard" reminds you of DePalma's "Carlito's Way". Director William Monahan also references Martin Scorsese which also ironically Monahan wrote the Oscar winning script for "The Departed" which was a reimagining of the Hong Kong crime thriller "Infernal Affairs". The question you ask yourself is Monahan's effort more than the sum of it's influences? The answer to me is a resounding yes. Similarities to other films cannot be denied but when done right you call it a homage. Monahan introduces enough unique fluorishes and twists to elevate it above mere copycat status. Colin Farrell is magnetic and macho as the recently released con who wants to go straight in a world that keeps pulling him into a life of crime. Ray Winstone adds another indelible portrait to his personal rogues gallery as a sadistic crime boss. David Thewlis nearly steals the show as the foppish manager of Keira...

This movie surpassed by expectations. It looked funny from the previews I'd seen and it was WAY better than I expected. Watching it never gets old. The only moderately negative thing I could say about it is do NOT watch this one with your parents or parents do not watch with your children. I'm 23 and would be exceedingly uncomfortable if my parents watched this with me.

War of the Arrows

Exciting
Set during the second Manchu invasion of Korea, a lethal archer goes up against the Qing Dynasty to save his younger sister who was dragged away by invaders. Fans of kick-ass archery will be in heaven here. Both the protagonist and the antagonists use bows and arrows almost exclusively. The pacing is very fast, with the entire second half consisting of a footchase/shootout in a forest. Most of the action is grounded and realistic, with a few exceptions. Acting is solid too. Very exciting and totally entertaining.

For someone who is not a big fan of this genre this was excellent. Best movie like this since Hero. A must see. I say A.
"You're now Ja-in's father, you must take care of your sister until you die." After getting into an argument with his sisters fiancé Nam-Yi leaves his village before her wedding. When he returns he is told of the attack and kidnapping of his sister and sets out with his bow to get her back and exact revenge. As many of you may know I have never really been a big fan of these epic martial arts type movies. There have been a few I liked but not many. This one may be the best one I have seen since "Hero". This movie grabs you from the opening scene and is action packed and keeps you interested the entire time. The story and action are very well done and there is not a dull moment in this at all. There are some very brutal scenes in this but it's not over the top at all and it helps the story. For fans of this genre this is a must see. For those like me who can go either way this is still a movie that is very much worth watching. Overall, one of the best of this genre I have seen...

Great Movie!
This movie is very well done. The action is intense and riveting. From beginning to end, the movie will keep you glue to the screen. A rare telling of Manchurian attempted invasion of Korea.

Huge fan!!
I don't remember the show, but I am a huge fan of Archie comics, & purchased the DVD due to the comics. If you love Archie comics you will love this DVD for the price, 40 episodes are a steal!!! I prefer this DVD instead of the classic Archie cartoons since I started reading Archie Comics in the 90s. The difference from the comics & this DVD is that all the episodes are weird mystery based, which is new for me, as opposed to the usual Archie, Betty & Veronica love triangle. The characters still have the same personalities which is nice to see. Get this DVD it won't disappoint!!!

Archie and the Gang Encounter Werid Mysteries
I never even heard of Archie's Weird Mysteries (1999-2000) until I won several DVDs through a blog giveaway in which one of the DVDs was Best of Archies Weird Mysteries with the first 10 episodes.

The series basically re-imagines some of the great 50s Scifi and horror movies with Archie and the gang investigating the strange happenings in Riverdale. After watching the first ten episodes, I wanted to watch the rest of the series.

Luckily, I found it on Amazon for under ten dollars. There are four discs with 10 episodes on each. Disc one has a bonus episode from Sabrina: The Animated Series; disc two has a bonus episode from Sabrina's Secret Life; and disc three has a bonus from Mona the Vampire.

Overall, I'm more than happy with purchase.

Angie [HD]

Let's throw in 15 subplots and abandon them all.
Though Geena Davis is a great actress, good at playing particularly strong-willed women, the screenplay for "Angie" just meanders all over the place, from light comedy to the staunchest of melodramas.

I mean, what kind of a movie has a woman go into labor while gyrating in a Santa Claus suit then show her give birth to a one-armed baby, get abandoned by her married lover, watch as her stepmother breast-feeds the one-armed baby, abandons said baby, finds her long-lost mother (who it turns out is a schizophrenic), learns that one-armed baby is in a coma... all in about 15 minutes.

This was one of the most uneven films I've ever seen. Turturro's particularly good in it as the best friend, yet her character is left out of the final half hour, though she's a central character, and never returned to. Rea and Gandolfini's potentials are completely wasted in a movie that just doesn't seem to know what to do with itself.

A must for "Sopranos" fans...OK for everyone else
What a shame this movie is out of print in VHS format. Maybe since two of the cast members went on to star in the HBO phenomenon "The Sopranos," it will be reissued, perhaps in DVD. We can only hope.

James Gandolfini has what was probably his best film role in this 1994 film directed by Martha Coolidge (Rambling Rose et al.). Ironic that his meatiest film role, finds him looking a lot leaner (maybe it's about time he considered salads). For once he's not cast as a hood or a thug. Aida Turturro is along for the ride as well, and has a good time playing the role of the title character's put upon best friend.

That title character is the brassy, spirited young Brooklyn woman faced with the dilemma of unwanted pregnancy and a potentially stifling marriage. As played by Geena Davis, Angie is much more than the "woman's movie" cliche she could have been. Davis turns in a multi-dimensional performance that should have been more widely recognized...

REAL EMOTIONS ABOUND
I found this to be an endearing movie. I didn't want to watch, but couldn't turn away from Angie's pain during her self discovery. She has made poor decisions and was always looking for the greener grass, but comes to find she is her own worst enemy, and best friend.

Point of Origin

Good Story that caught me off guard
I knew absolutely nothing about this story before seeing the movie. The film began and when it said that it was based off true events, I almost turned it off. What caught my attention was the visual protrayer of the arson investigation... after that it was the story and the performances of the actors themselves. Ray Liotta stars as arson investigator John Orr. He, along with John Leguizamo, are trying to figure out who is starting all these arson-based fires. John Orr is well regarded as the chief arson inspector and if anyone can find out, he can. So the film plays out like a cat and mouse game. You are trying to figure out what is motivating the person who is setting these fires. What makes the story a bit more compelling is that, during the 90's, at least three firefighters were arrested for arson. After watching the DVD, I found myself going over the film again. I figured, since it was based on a true story the DVD would have some interesting extras. I was disappointed,...

somewhat disappointing from the book
Having read the book first, I was a bit disappointed in the film. However, I gave it a 3 because I thought the photography and story were well done.

This is a TRUE story of man who dreamed of being a police officer, which the film did not touch on. When he failed the police exams, he became a firefighter, but his super-ego was such that he was never satisfied "only" fighting a fire. When a job came available for an arson investigator, he applied, and thus began his career of starting sensational fires up and down the coast of California, resulting in the death of at least 7 people.

The film shows various fires attribututed to John Orr, his interactions in the fire department, and the task team that was formed to catch him. It was scary to see how those who viewed this Man as a friend and asset had a difficult time believing he was guilty of these horrendous crimes.

There were only minor scenes of the two court cases, with the verdits shown on TV...

Great experience
I love this movie, and the buying experience couldn't have been better. This is the PERFECT gift for a firefighter

Grindhouse: White Slave

I'm So Glad to Have Found This Movie!
I enjoyed watching White Slave because classic exploitation films of this type are so rarely filmed nowadays. It has sex, nudity, tribal violence, murder, and cold-blooded revenge. It's everything a Richard Laymon horror fan such as myself would be into. Now, if you'd like to see additional films of this genre, I would recommend "I Spit On Your Grave" (the 1978 version, the remake just didn't cut it), "Naked Fear", "The Last House On the Left" (original or remake) and "The Wrong Turn" series.

White Slave
Now have two versions of this show from two different distributors. Only thing different is the title and the liner notes.

Grindhouse: Famous T & A

Famous T and A.
Sybil Danning hosts this compilation of nude sciences of 70s starlets. Edy Williams, Claudia Jennings, Jacqueline Bissett, Edy Williams, Vanity, and Cassandra Peterson a.k.a. Elvira are just a few of the actresses featured. This is an interesting documentary still nude scene compilation.

As with the other Full Moon Grind house releases I have seen, both the picture and sound quality leave much too be desired. The source for this one is a VHS as you can see some tracking issuesat the bottom of the screen. Either way, if you must own this get it cheap.

The title says it all
This DVD contains a compilation of movie scenes featuring actress baring their boobs and their buns. All of the women are beautiful. If you enjoy seeing actress baring themselves for the simple sake of baring themselves, you will love this DVD.

not enough diversity
There is too much of one person on this dvd and not many others. It is also too short. I do not recommend this one unless you are crazy about phyllis davis.

Indictment: The McMartin Trial

Vivid and compelling
This account of the most celebrated trial arising out of the child molestation and satanic abuse hysteria of the eighties and nineties-a witch hunt far worse than that of the McCarthy era in terms of lives destroyed and innocent people thrown in jail, and even worse than the Salem witch trials of the 17th century in extent, except that nobody was actually stoned or hanged, was only the tip of the iceberg. Hundreds of innocent people went to jail and some are still there. Nobody can give them back their lives, ruined by immoral prosecutors bent on career-building at any cost and by guilt-ridden latch key parents out to excite their blood lust. Yes, children do lie and more important, as this film demonstrates, they can be brainwashed and coerced into telling the most outrageous and horrific tales (and believing them) to escape the gestapo tactics of their interrogators.

Excellent Film And A Stellar Cast: James Woods Shines!
"Indictment: The McMartin Trial" is an excellent film. I do not live very far from Manhattan Beach, and was once a junior lifeguard there. I still jog and bicycle down there when I get the chance. I do remember very vividly when these events occurred. One of the things that I don't know is whether or not the children were molested. However, I do remember how nearly everyone where I worked at the time presumed these people were guilty. Even the LA Times showed unflattering pictures of the accused. Therefore, I do believe that there was a frenzied and carnival-like demonizing of the McMartin family. The film itself is very good. (James Woods) gives an outstanding performance as the attorney who defends the McMartin family.

There is no doubt in my mind that the public hysteria over the allegations this family was charged with, and the media hype, were responsible for a grave miscarriage of justice. I feel for the children too: As they were equally victims of an out-of-control...

Excellent and engrossing
This is the second best HBO movie ever made, being closely behind And the Band Played On. The whole cast gives excellent performances, especially James Woods and Henry Thomas, who won emmy awards for their performances. This movie clearly shows that an injustice was done and that the Justice System of the US isn't infallable. The defendant's lost everything because of the LA District Attorney's Office, and it amazes me that anybody could have believed any of the children the way they kept changing their stories. This is an excellent movie but not for the weak of stomach. It is a little difficult to watch the first time through.

Watching this DVD, definitely remarkable. It would've been better if it was released later to include the buildup and match at Wrestlemania 28. Otherwise very well put together. It includes 10 matches not 11 plus 3 promos. Definitely recommended.

Transsiberian [HD]

A ride with menace and fear
Don't worry: No spoilers. Transsiberian is an excellent thriller. A reviewer here aptly called it a neo-Hitchcockian film. A train ride in snowy Russia full of menace and suspense. As someone who has taken long train journeys in Russia, I can attest that the movie is quite good in transmitting their feel: from the vodka-lubricated friendly warmth of new acquaintances to the all too common hostile rudeness of train employees. And have no doubts about the suspense itself: the sense of dread and danger builds up gradually from almost nonexistent to just about unbearable. Emily Mortimer is superb as the central character. She has to exhibit a very wide range of emotions and she's absolutely convincing at all stages. Woody Harrelson is cast as Mortimer's husband. He is very credible as a friendly and rather naive Iowan who hasn't done much travel outside the US. He's also a train enthusiast--one of the reasons he's so thrilled about the Transsiberian. His wife is a woman with a wild past...

Brad Anderson scores with this intense thriller!
I saw this movie in Los Angeles and was plesently surprised. This movie had me glued to my seat until the credits rolled. Anderson clearly has created a mystery masterpiece telling the story of a clueless couple, Woody Harrelson and Emily Mortimer, stuck on a cross country train ride through the grim backdrop of a post-soviet Russia. The two are caught in a whirlwind of drug-smuggling, torture and crooked cops. I haven't been this impressed with a movie for a long time and can't wait to buy this sucker on DVD disc!

Intriguing thriller from Anderson, major spoilers ahead

For the most part, Transsiberian works as a suspense/thriller and captures the uncomfortable feeling of being a foreigner in another land. The director Brad Anderson does a commendable job setting up the relationship between the couple, their struggles, and their vastly different personalities. He also sets the stage for quite a finish, but the viewer will have to decide how well this is pulled off. I loved the scenery and much of the dialogue was satisfactory throughout. A slow, definitive build up to the main conflict is sorely lacking in contemporary films, but Transsiberian captures this. The basic premise is that an American couple, Roy and Jessie are (Woody Harrelson, Emily Mortimer) taking a trip home from China on the Trans-Siberian Express become involved in a plot involving an investigation of drug possession and an accidental murder. Justice League: Doom [Blu-ray]

Great Movie...Highly Recommend
I will give my review without trying to ruin the movie for fans of this genre, this review may contain spoilers, but I will do my best to not go in depth. This movie is a loose adaption of comic book writer Mark Waid's accliamed 2000 miniseries Tower of Babel, with a little bit of the more recent New 52 from DC comics. This film was directed by longtime DC Universe veteran Lauren Montgomery who was also responsible for bringing us Wonder Woman and Green Lantern: First Flight, which just happens to be one of my all time favorite animated movies.

This movie like all the previous animated movies are a animated feature which are always nice and has the feel to it of the Justice League animated series series. This film also introduces Cyborg which is a character some people might not be familiar with, even though he was a hugely popular character in the animated cartoon series of Teen Titans and has had some good success in comics recently, and is a nice change of pace to...

Best in a decade?
In a series of videos based on important comic story lines, this one stands out. What I like about this is each character was depicted accurately showcasing his or her strengths and weaknesses. The story was a solid one back when it was first printed, and the writers did a good job transferring it to the screen. The director did a good job taking the audience through the action scenes and plot points, and it was nice to have the voice talents back from the 90's animated series.

I also really enjoyed the character design. The stylization was just enough the make the drawings more handsome.

This movie and JLA: The New Frontier are my 2 favorite DC releases over the last 12 years.

It's OK
I've been a JL fan since the 1970s and loved the Bruce Timm produced JL and JL Unlimited series in the early to mid 2000s as well as Bruce Timm's DCAU movies. JL Doom is OK, I don't think it's nearly as good as Justice League Crisis on Two Earths. The story here is has potential but I think the execution could have been better. Two key characterization flaws here. I don't like how Wonder Woman is de-powered so much here. In Crisis on Two Earths she fought toe-to-toe and eventually got the better of the evil superwoman who was knocking Superman around. Here Diana can barely hold her own strength-wise against Cheetah and it appears they took her ability to fly away. I'd say they made her barely as strong as Spiderman compartively speaking here. The other big characterization flaw is how the Flash is portrayed. In this movie he is Barry Allen, police scientist (well CSI officer here). But the Flash is portrayed as wisecracking, and somewhat immature ...a hallmark of Wally West's...

The Besieged Fortress [HD]

Six-Legged Apocalypse Now
Yo straight-up, this is the greatest bugumentary ever made! There are all kinds of crazy camera angles inside this teeming megalopolis of seething insecticism, and at its horripilated core the heaving mass of the queen daily pumps out 30 000 drone-clones to feed the maw of evolution's fangs and claws. Weird purplish lights glint and glimmer inside the queen's body as the war drums that are the abdomens of weaver ants beat against quaking leaves and finally summon ant armageddon. A terrific battle ensues under lightning and rain, and the resultant walls of mud finally carry the dying, damned, and doomed down into the dark recesses of a dirt-and-spit labyrinth. John Cusack's narration is pitch perfect over top of the deathmatch, neither under- nor overstated as the micro is translated into the macro.

Discoveriffic
If you like watching Discovery channel, this is right up your alley. Definitely too drawn out in certain parts and probably longer than it needs to be but awesome all the same. Who knew that Termites were an advanced society? Kinda joking, but it's seriously amazing. I know one of the other reviews said something about CG, but I think they just sped up some parts and played with lighting effects. After all, if you go stake out a termite nest for 2 years your going to have some crazy wild life epic-ness occur. It's not Hollywood type of drama, it's 'penguins' type of drama. Expect dramatized documentary. Ta da.

Very entertaining
The macro photography of the termites, ants, and a few other insects is stunning. I found the action of the insects fighting to be more dramatic than most of the action films I've seen recently. If you are looking for a very entertaining movie about insects, here it is.

The Hidden Face (La Cara Oculta - English Subtitled)

Good mystery suspense movie
I agree dont watch the preview because it will affect the suspense of the movie. Otherwise a decent mystery/suspense movie. The acting was good and I like the way the story progresses and then how it goes back and tells you what happened giving you the perspective of what transpired from the other main characters view.....while the motives of the individuals in the story line are flawed....the story line it self makes it a unique suspense story.........reminding me a bit of a kinda twilight story because of the twists that occur.........almost expected Rod Serling to appear to give the moral of the story as he did in the Twilight series....."There are weapons that are simply thoughts. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy."

The Angry Beavers: Season Three, Part 1

Suprisingly Disappointing
I can honestly say that this is the first time I have been truly disappointed by Shout! Factory.

To follow up a Seasons 1&2 box set with only and 1/2 season release feels downright disrespectful to the fans. It's as if the first box set was bait was a series of slapped together cash grabbers.

I understand that business is business, but they haven't treated other shows this way before. It's strange that they're beginning to break up seasons now. (i.e. CatDog: Season One, Part One , CatDog: Season One, Part Two, Hey Arnold! Season Two, Part 1, etc)

As a fan I did pre-order this item as there is no alternative. Some studios will offer full season releases paired with individual volumes for those not so committed to the series...

Love it
Okay, so after the "surprise" success of the first DVD they apparently got stingy and only put half a season on this one... but... it's Angry Beavers!!!! I'm still sold. Bought it and am enjoying the awesome viewing experience, which is high quality as well, compared to other less professional editions I've seen. So if you're an Angry Beavers fan, do yourself a favour and just buy it. Pretty sure you won't regret it.

Anthony Bourdain - A Cook's Tour

There are problems, but they are easily solved.
A couple of things: Yes, disc six is missing an episode, but Questar is aware of the problem and has replacement discs ready to go. Simply call them at 312-266-9400 to arrange it.

Second, due to an encoding issue the episodes stretch to widescreen on widescreen monitors. Simply change your settings to force 4:3 to correct this.

Other than these two correctable issues, it's just great to finally have this on DVD!

A primer for broadening one's food horizons...
I first stumbled upon Anthony Bourdain's writing a couple years after his magnum opus on the food service industry, Kitchen Confidential Updated Edition: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly (P.S.), was released and quickly became a fan of his very 70s punk view of what it's like to work the line and run a restaurant. When I heard that he was writing his next book, A Cook's Tour: Global Adventures in Extreme Cuisines, as well as filming a television show to back it up I was very excited and intrigued by the concept. In a nutshell, Bourdain traveled the globe stopping off in places that have either had a profound affect on him culturally (such as visiting Vietnam because of films like Apocalypse Now) or on his culinary proclivities (such as visiting the hometown of his longtime employer in Portugal or the spot of his first childhood food...

Great set!
You can definitely see the genesis for No Reservations in these episodes (as well as familiar figures like Zamir, Michael Ruhlman, Eric Ripert, Linh, and others who show up later in No Reservations), and any fan of No Res should like Cook's Tour.

My biggest complaint ... is why is Amazon selling this set for $50, when you can go to Target and buy the same set for $20? I'm so glad I read the other review, because I was going to order this from Amazon. Instead, I ran over to Target, and bought it for the cheaper price!

If you like Tony, go get this set ... just get it somewhere cheaper!

Nickelodeon Favorites: Dance to the Music

Not what I thought it was
When I ordered this movie I thought I was ordering a movie my child could sit and dance with nonstop like it said. I was expecting dance songs and dance moves and was ready to boogy. Sadly this is just a DVD with two episodes fom each character in which they may sing a song but it's a regular episode with no dancing and just a chance of song in it. Although she loves to watch it causentheybare here favorite shows, they should have just made it a movie of different episodes and not promote it as a dancing video of nonstop dancing for the little one, there was no dancing at all.

Just got it today- big hit
The little ones haven't stopped dancing and singing to this DVD. It is a bunch of episodes of the shows shown on the front cover. It's not all dancing all the way through. Still good but slightly misleading.

Fun!
This is a great DVD for any preschool-aged Nickelodeon fan as it features all the best shows! No commercials or missed shows, there is an episode for all six popular Nickelodeon characters. While these episodes have previously aired on Nickelodeon my boys loved having them all on one DVD that they could watch anytime and anywhere. It is a music and danced filled DVD with the episodes all focusing on fun!

Bounty Hunters

Trish Stratus beats people up. What's not to love?
Is it a big budget movie? No. Are any of the actors going to give Olivier a run for his money? No. Does Trish Stratus beat the crap out of people in skimpy outfits? YES! If you remember Trish from her WWE days you'll probably recognize a lot of the Diva Of The Decade in her character Jules Taylor. Okay...let's be honest..Trish is really playing an amped up version of her WWE persona in this movie and if you've been missing some Stratusfaction in your life "Bounty Hunters" should fit the bill. The fight scene in the ambulance is well worth the price of admission.

Bounty Hunters was a modest start for Trish Stratus. Andrea James Lui is pretty hot too!! BH is an average Action B movie. Trish & Andrea both kick ass in this movie! Trish still looks great <3 & she is a decent actress. Basically, "Bounty Hunters" involves 3 Bounty Hunters who have worked together for years and have developed a strong comradery. They catch a low level punk who gives them info on a large scale bail jumper ($1 Million). They agree to let the small fry go & persue the big fish. Chaos and lots of action takes place. The action was okay for the most part, but the boss villain could have been a tad more believable. Bounty Hunters has a runtime of about 1 hr & 15 mins. It could have been 15 to 20 minutes longer, but it was still an average action movie. The design for end credits with the actors pictures was cool. I enjoyed BH for what it is (B Action movie). The end credits has funny outtakes. I recommend Bounty Hunters to fans of action movies and hot chicks like Trish...

I GOT COUPONS
This is a Canadian version of what I am starting to call a "white bread grindhouse." It is a watered down version of the hardcore stuff we are used to seeing such as "Nude Nuns with Big Guns." WWF Trish Stratus stars as part of a trio of bounty hunters. She also has the grindhouse occupation of a cocktail waitress at a strip club where she wears a school girl's outfit. (Nice to see they got the e-mail.) She fights in spiked heels and can subdue a man that should be able to snap her in half like a pencil. She is aided by Chase (Boomer Phillips) who seems to take the brunt of the punishment sort of like Jim while Marlin Perkins narrated. Frank J. Zupancic plays the third part of the trio, the "outside man" who guards the van and seems to be in charge.

The crew ends up capturing a bounty that the mob wants dead to keep from talking. The conversation went like:

Crime boss: "I can't wait to meet up with you so I can rip out your f-ing tongue."
Bounty: "As long as...
